Classical Sad Song

For those that have never experienced the Beatles’ “Sgt. Pepper’s…” album, you’ve missed out on a truly wonderful experience. It revolutionized the music industry.

But this is about only one of those songs on the disc. “She’s Leaving Home” has to be the saddest songs ever written by anyone. Telling the story of a lonely girl that runs away from home. But the startling ending reveals the why she left and covertly I might add.

The lyrics, the chorus, the blending of it all is just beautiful. I wonder if Pink Floyd’s “Keep Talking” had the blending in mind. If you’ve never listened to “Division Bell” by Pink Floy, another gem of a gem.

For the younger folks, there is a ton of great music from the 60’s and 70’s that should be etched in historical monuments. Not just in the Music Hall of Fame in Cleveland. Both of the songs mentioned above are two of the best ever motivating creative thought. Stay Safe
